An Interview with Adam’s Attic

OCMM: How would you compare this performance to the last time you were at the Viper Room?

Joe: It seems like every time we play The Viper Room, it gets better and better.  This last performance was an amazing experience.  The room was packed and the crowd was electric. We are very thankful for our friends and fans and for the the staff at The Viper Room for being so accommodating.

OCMM: Compared to the band’s initial sound, would you say the group has changed?

Joe: I think we have evolved as a band for sure. As we perform and tour and grow personally, we all change and it shows in our music.  We are constantly challenging ourselves and finding ways to strip down the limitations with our music.  In the end, we just want to write music that matters.

OCMM: How do you like performing in Hollywood?

Joe: We really enjoy performing in Hollywood.  There is a lot of history there.  Not to mention, we have an amazing group of friends and fans that come from Orange County that really enjoy traveling up to our shows.  We had 2 full charter buses and a 15 passenger van transport people for our last show!

OCMM: What’s next now that you’ve released Where is Love?

Joe: We are going to start booking up the tour schedule and get out and promote it. We are planning on working with some film and TV networks for placements on their movies and shows.  Where is Love is a 5 song EP and will be part 1 of a 4 part series.  Each EP will have 5 songs on it with a different theme.  We plan on releasing the material every 6 months to constantly give our fans new music.

OCMM: Do you imagine yourselves moving away from California or elsewhere?

Joe: At this point, I can not imagine moving out of California.  We have a good team and an awesome group of fans here but who knows what the future holds.  We are originally from New Orleans and we still have a great solid group of friends and fans there as well.

OCMM: Do you guys have a routine you go through before performing?

Joe: I normally try to relax and take it easy before a show.  45 minutes before show time I start my vocal warm up with Derek, our bass player.  Usually 10 minutes before showtime we all get together and warm up to get our blood going.

OCMM: Are there any other artists you’d be interested in collaborating with?

Joe: Yes, there are so many out there that I would be interested in collaborating with I wouldn’t even know where to begin.  I would like to work with Timberland, Justin T, and OneRepublic to name a few.

OCMM: If you could tell your fans anything, what would you want them to know?

Joe: I would tell them that we are nothing with out them.  We truly feel blessed to have such a solid core group of loyal friends/fans.  They have supported us from the start and have stood by us during our most challenging moments.  We hope to deliver music that feeds their souls and we will never forget how much love and support they give.  We are truly inspired!

OCMM: Thanks for your time!
