  • I met up with Stacy Clark late one afternoon at the Kean Coffee shop in Newport Beach. Admitting that she’s not much of a coffee drinker, Stacy grabbed a fizzy pomegranate drink and we took a seat by the window. Chit-chatting about life in music, the Buffalo-native turned Orange County resident spends her days doing most of the hard work required to further her music career all by herself. She keeps busy by writing music, performing, recording, booking tours, doing interviews, and doing everything virtually possible to get her name out there.

  • Friends and fans gathered at The Gypsy Lounge in Lake Forest last Thursday, August 19th, to celebrate the recent release of Stacy Clark’s sophomore record, Connect The Dots. The venue, chosen for its intimate setting, was fittingly lit dimly, inviting the crowd to relax and make themselves at home. Stacy Clark, OC resident and guest of honor, offered everyone homemade cake w/Funfetti frosting.

  • The lot around the Glamour Kills stage was already pretty full early on in preparation for Warped Tour veterans and popular band, Sum 41. Surprising to many, the band was playing the smaller GK stage, as opposed the main Teggart stage. After waiting patiently, the crowd went wild as the band burst onto stage. Sum 41 brought hit after hit - "We're All to Blame" and "In Too Deep," just to name a couple.

  • Wanna know who rocked the hardest at the Vans Warped Tour date in Carson? If you ask me, this younger generation can't even hold a candle to the twenty-thirty year old bands that graced the stage this past Friday. Lucky for California, we're the only ones on this tour that even had the Punk Rock Legends stage! At least the rest of the tour still has Face to Face and Bouncing Souls scheduled on the Teggart stage.

The guys just put out a 7”, Brand New Lungs, featuring three new songs; the EP is a teaser for Here, Under Protest, their upcoming full-length album which due out this fall.

  • On May 13th, the Shops at Anaheim Gardenwalk hosted the 15th Annual Taste of Anaheim! Over fifty of the city’s premier restaurants showcased their culinary best with the goal of reminding residents that they need not looking further than their own backyard for fine food. A large event such as this would, of course, not go on without a solid lineup of entertainment! Whilst attendees ate and drank from restaurants such as Ruby’s Diner, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, and House of Blues, three fantastic cover bands performed their hearts out for the good people of the city...

  • On a beautiful day this past weekend, locals from all over Orange County came out to Ladera Ranch for the two-day festival and expo, Taste of Ladera. Taste of Ladera was created in 2004 as a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization to raise funds for local charities, schools, and programs in the small planned community. Past acts featured Sugar Ray and Berlin. This year, founder Michelle Patterson, booked the famed Fullerton-based rock band, Lit, to headline.

  • OCMM was back at the Glass House on April 23 and was comforted to see the crowd back in the usual garb of t-shirt, jeans, and Converse. Long Beach’s own RX Bandits headlined the show, selling out Pomona’s popular venue, as they always manage to do. Fellow Sargent House artists, Zechs Marquise and Good Old War opened the show, getting the audience revved up for a memorable night to be sure!

  • She & Him, the unique power duo of M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel, completely took over The Glass House in Pomona last Thursday night, and it was quite a sight to see. The security has never been as tight, due of course, to the high profile of the musicians. Most of their songs can be described as modern indie rock versions of ‘50s and ‘60s pop ballads. As such, the usual GH crowd of t-shirts, jeans, and Converse was replaced by a mob of vintage dresses, velour sport coats, tights, and Tom’s. The line to get into the all-ages venue was wrapped around the block, with the occasional disappointed attendee leaving the line to bring a camera back to the car. Per the artist, no photography or video of any kind was to be taken... Sure. A few of the songs performed were up on YouTube the very next day.
